Grant Alert!

As part of our 40th Anniversary celebrations.

County Clothes-Line Foundation (CCLF) announced three-year funding to the Art Society of Strathcona County (ASSC), to carry out our vision of providing Strathcona County youth with opportunities to contribute to the vibrant local art community.

This special grant was created to facilitate information, guidance, and resources to passionate youth/young adults, who are early career artists in Strathcona County. This three-year $30,000 grant will provide opportunities for youth in Strathcona County to explore diverse felids and cultivate capacity.

On December 7th, 2024, ASSC hosted a conference at the A J Ottewell Community Centre (Red Barn), 590 Broadmoor Boulevard, Sherwood Park, with resource tables and three respected speakers who touched on a variety of subjects to benefit any youth or young adult with a passion and drive to receive an education. It was a one-stop resource day for those thinking of an art career, those already embarked in an art education, or those already on their art journey.

Workshop/s offering advice and experience held in March 2025 focused on portfolio building (for entry to schools or galleries), as well as alternate mediums and techniques (with new materials being supplied).

CCLF is excited to see what other wonderful events/activities or initiatives this project will take on over the next several years, and we hope you are too!
